WINTER CLOTHES AND ITEMS DRIVE
It's that time of year again! The Tillman House Resource Center hosted a winter clothes drive at Smyrna First UMC's annual "Hands on Christmas" event, and it went so well that we want to keep this energy going for the rest of the month!
If you weren't able to make it to the event, or didn't have time to go through your closet beforehand, you are in luck! The Tillman House will now be accepting coats, gloves, hats, and scarves, all throughout the month of November!
So take some time these next few weeks to go through your closets and to find those gently used winter clothes and bring them to us! These clothes will be going to people in our own community who need these items.
Here is more information about how to donate:
- Where can we bring winter clothes? --> You can drop off winter clothes at the Tillman House during our normal hours of operation! We're open Monday-Thursday, from 9am-1pm
- What items are accepted? --> We will take anything that helps keep warmth in this season, so coats, hats, gloves, scarves, ear muffs, socks, hand warmers, etc.
- I have an item that I think you all can use, but I'm not 100% sure, who should I contact? --> You can give our Community Services Coordinator, Julia DeVane, a call during our normal office hours, and she can answer any questions you have! If you aren't able to catch her on the phone, leave a message, and she will get back to you as soon as possible! You can reach her at 770-435-0851!
Thank you everyone, and let's work together this winter season to keep our Smyrna and Cobb community warm!
