How I Can Help | Volunteer Opportunities
There are many volunteer opportunities for you at Tillman House.
If you are looking for a way to plug in and serve the Smyrna Community, Tillman House has several on-going opportunities to consider. Inquire about how you can get involved in supporting any of our Tillman House programs:
Office Assistance
The Tillman House needs your help! We're looking for volunteers to help out in our main office during our normal service hours: Monday-Thursday, from 9am-1pm. Tasks include but are not limited to: assisting Community Services Coordinator with client intake, making meal bags or hygiene kits, folding grocery bags, organizing supplies, and more!
If interested, please reach out to Julia DeVane, our Community Services Coordinator at jdevane@smyrnafumc.org, or at 770-435-0851 during normal service hours.
COMMUNITY SERVICES ASsistance
We have clients who regularly have to decide if they can afford food OR diapers because they can’t afford both!
So we developed programs to help relieve the stress families face. The Tillman House offers the following programs to those in need:
- Homeless Meal Bags
- Hygiene Kits
- Diapers & Wipes
- Warming Kits (Seasonal)
We rely on the support of our volunteers to help meet the needs of our community through these programs. Volunteers can form their own group to collect supplies and assemble items for any of these programs. Groups can assemble from their own designated location or volunteers are welcome to assemble at the Tillman House. Is your schedule a challenge? Volunteers can also provide support by simply donating supplies and have them delivered straight to the Tillman House! Use the following Amazon links to make your donations today:
